How our data works

Services come from source evidence. Names and search terms do not prove a service.

Sources and dates

Google Maps exports were collected on 8 and 9 October 2026, with those collection dates confirmed by the publisher. OpenStreetMap source timestamps are preserved alongside the facts. Download dates, source edit dates, collection dates, review dates and page generation dates are separate. None is an independent business verification date. Source hours can be incomplete or outdated; we do not calculate a live opening status.

Google Maps exports are audited and grouped by CID with all variants retained. Businesses are joined across sources only with compatible identity, coordinates and corroborating address or contacts. A shared phone or nearby location alone is insufficient.

MOT information

The DVSA inventory snapshot was published on 30 September 2026 and covers England, Scotland and Wales. A match requires postcode, compatible name and corroborating phone or premises address. Ambiguous matches remain unknown. A dated registry entry does not certify other repair work or guarantee current authorisation.

Northern Ireland uses DVA vehicle testing. Private garages offering preparation or repairs are distinct from official vehicle test centres. Driving-only test centres are excluded from the vehicle test inventory.

Coverage and limitations

Records held for review are excluded from publication. Coverage varies by area and is incomplete. The retained OpenStreetMap collection received 72 of 75 requested areas: all requested areas in England, Scotland and Wales, and 25 of 28 in Northern Ireland. Three Northern Ireland requests failed. The publisher has retained the available Northern Ireland data for this release; missing areas have not been filled with inferred records. Google Maps collection does not guarantee a complete inventory either.

Locality, source address and catalogue group are separate. Distances are measured in a straight line and are not route lengths or travel times.
